In February, Calvin Klein unveiled its alluring Fall 2017 collection during NYC Fashion Week, once again affirming its status as a pioneer of the fashion community.
The lineup of fresh-faced models donned pieces of feathers and furs covered with plastic, sheer tops with bulky knit sleeves, sporty-chic boyfriend pants, denim on denim suits, silhouette black cutout dresses and sophisticated sportswear. The collection’s fresh style and ability to seamlessly blend eclectic components was accentuated by bold, primary colors and the models’ minimalist make-up, sleek, classic hair, and pale skin.
Under the leadership of creative director Raf Simons and British graphic designer Peter Saville, CK’s show exemplified the contagious excitement of re-imagining fashion’s boundaries. Among the headliner personalities in attendance were Anna Wintour, Gwyneth Paltrow, Julianne Moore, Amber Valletta, Amy Astley, Sarah Jessica Parker, Lauren Hutton, Brooke Shields and Sofia Coppola.
